There is also a lot of great geometry going on in this shot. Lots of triangles and angles. I definitely love that.
For the most part, I like the exposure. The only area that bothers me a little is on the upper left. It is a bit too dark compared to the rest of the shot. That's a minor complaint though, because it isn't suppose to be the focus of the shot anyway.
The strict composition seems to be chosen very carefully because it is very well lined up and many photographic rules are included and at the same broken. To put this into one photo is very artistic. The small pathwaybridge and the cubestylebuidling end / begin at ~ 1/3 of the photo. In contrast to that the curb is placed at the very border area of the photo which brakes the same rule as perfectly used as described before.
Secondly the many triangles you can find in the picture: The first one at the column top, the second and the other s right of it in the sculpture, in opposite directions. Then the small parymid- objects on the left and right and the perspective combined of the left bridge and the reflection of it on the right.
Up to that point it could have been an architecture shot as well.
The thing that changes almost EVERYTHING is the child running across the scenery. First his legs form another triangle in the moment you pushed the button. This is the port from one genre to another. The child is horizontally positioned at exact 1/3 of the photo, but vertically at a pretty center position. again the ruleusing and -breaking thing.
So far to the technical and composition things. The next point is the interaction "by accident".
This is created by the child, the sign "Mission" and the triangles. the child is not only running but taken just under the sign that tells us he is on a perticular "MISSION". If it would have been a black jacket he wears a childbond would have been created.
However we are told something of the mission, too. The direct object that gives the mission has the toptriangle that directs into sky. And even the small triangles in the downward triangle seem to say: everything at the top, to the sky.
that gives us the greater situation. A child running at the bottom between high businessbuildings on a mission to get upwards. Isn't this a symbol for youth?! Beeing at the very beginning but beeing on the life's mission? Wanting to reach aims and beeing successful?
A very deep and artistic shot you took.
The slight blur on all the scenery might have been a bit less but isn't really distracting the photo in its inner impact.
